G122-11 - G12.2  Kingpin 

Made in Gr.5 Titanium, those kingpin are carring several advantages:

Sphere and kingpin are now a single piece, ensuring a better fitting in the sphere holder

The special thread reduce the amount of play in the steering upright

Spring preload can be adjusted by the kingpin

ONLY FOR G12.2 - NOT FOR  G56 and G56.2

How to:

Steering knuckles are having a 3mm diameter bore.

Titanium kingpin are having an m3.5 thread.

There are 2 ways to ensure a proper fit.

Way 1:

Pre-thread the plastic with an M3.5 tap. If you’re using the “classic” hand- tap, just use #1 and #2, so the titanium kingpin will thread himself into the plastic.

Don’t forget to add a drop of oil while you’re tapping.

Way2:

Enlarge the plastic hole to 3.1 – 3.2mm and then “thread” the plastic using the titanium kingpin.

Again: Don’t forget to add a drop of oil while you’re tapping.
